In short, I’m The PCOS Dietitian. And I’m extremely passionate about your health, wellness and ultimate happiness. My mission is to educate, inspire and motivate YOU to create the healthiest version of YOU. Let’s get real. Having PCOS is hard. Managing all the not-so-fun symptoms that come along with the disorder is even harder. That’s where I come in!
For over the last decade, I have been working closely with the top doctors in women’s health and fertility to design the most comprehensive and effective nutrition programs for women with PCOS. Through both my research and clinical work, I have learned what works and what does not work.
Many women with PCOS fall into the category of “professional dieters.” These PCOSers jump from one generic diet program to the next in hopes of losing weight and decreasing their PCOS symptoms. While some women do in fact lose weight, many actually GAIN weight on these traditional weight loss plans.
What’s up with that?
Do these women simply lack willpower? Are they destined to remain overweight and unhealthy for the rest of their lives? Or are they just plain lazy?
Women with PCOS have highly specific dietary needs. Traditional diets fail to address these needs. My job is to help to bridge that gap.
How my nutrition approach is different
My customized weight management programs have an impeccable track record delivering results. Women enrolled in my weight management programs not only lose weight, but they experience a significant decrease in their overall PCOS symptoms. All while optimizing their overall health and improving their fertility. In addition, all women completing my weight management program receive free access to my member’s only Facebook page where they can connect with other PCOSers (Powerful Chicks with Outrageous Spirit) who understand and share their struggles. If that’s not awesome sauce – then I don’t know what is! I believe all women with PCOS deserve to live a healthy, vibrant life where they are not paralyzed by every last morsel of food they put in their mouths. However, in order for this to be possible they must become educated on how to work with their bodies – not against them. So, how can you make this happen while going to school? While working a full-time job? While raising a family? Instead of digging through hundreds of books, thousands of academic research papers and wasting time on countless strategies by so called “experts”…
